Description

The EPBD recast (EU/2024/1275) sets a framework and a path for modernising and fully decarbonising the EU’s building stock by 2050. As a result, many provisions are included in the document, which constitute the framework that will shape national building performance regulation.

A new provision on smart-ready buildings is the Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI), which is a common European rating measures a building’s ability to use smart technologies. Becoming familiar with the technical framework and assessment procedure of this novel smartness assessment is crucial for the building service engineering practice.

Disclaimer: It is the prerrogative of Member States to lay down the requirements on the qualification or accreditation of SRI experts.

The European Commission shall, by 30 June 2027, adopt a delegated act requiring the application of the SRI to non-residential buildings with an effective rated HVAC capacity of over 290 kW.

Addressed to

Building service engineers who want to become future SRI experts.

This course represents an application of the fundamentals of smart readiness functions of buildings. Hence, it is highly recommended that the Smart Functions of Buildings is completed before enrolment to this course.
